Whazzzzzup?

I've been a little MIA these days, as my bloglines can attest to (132 unread entries, 14 saved that I have read but not commented on) and some of you have been emailing me to see where on earth I disappeared to. That's so unbelievably sweet, I can't even know how to properly respond, but with a big, fat, mushy e-smootch... MWAH!

Truth be told, there are a few reasons I haven't been writing, and because many of them are still true even now, I am going to give you the sweetened, condensed version of what I have going on this week:
  • It was kinda teacher appreciation week last week at my girl's school. I'm kinda one of the room moms. It's kinda a big deal... and I am hoping the steam doesn't run out of the rant I am saving up to post later by the time I get time to put it to words. Why all the 'kinda's? Well, that would be the reason for all the ranting boiling up in me. More to come. Anyway, I was caught up in all the preparation & presentation- all at the same time as...
  • My mom is still healing. She's actually a great patient, and she lives super duper close to my home and work, and I actually really have loved being able to care for her... but that's one more place I've been three times a day since Monday at the same time as...
  • I've been working pretty close to my regular work schedule at my church. Lots of big, wonderful projects at the same time as...
  • I got to teach at a different area's MOPS meeting last week- very fun at the same time as...
  • My speaking team, Garden of Grace Ministries, has been preparing to speak at a Children's Ministry conference this weekend... we spent the night in a lovely hotel WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW!!!
    • We are so far doing well- lots of blessings, a teensy setback, and a fabulous sunset!
    • We are teaching 3 workshops this afternoon!
    • We are in my childhood hometown :) which always makes me feel all happy and nostalgic.
As you can imagine, my children and husband would like a little bit of my attention too, and all these pulls in these directions are not making for a very chatty HisGirl- blogging just seems like 'one more thing' this week- so I have given myself permission to be a blogging hermit until next week.

You can take the girl out of the blog world, you just can't take the blog out of a blogger.... I wish I had a dollar for each time I saw something, met someone, or experienced something and wished I could blog it! If I did, I'd be able to use all those dollars to fly you all over right now to the beach with me and we'd all sit in the sand and watch the sun go down and talk about how this is the most bloggable moment in history :) and we'd all take our cameras out at the same time and that would make us laugh hysterically.... *sigh*

Alright, enough of that daydream.... time to buckle down and get dressed and go teach! Yahooo!

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength,
silencing your enemies
and all who oppose you
Psalm 8:1,2

Nice to hear from you! So, WHY haven't you you had time to blog if this is all your doing??? Just kidding, of course. I look to the posts that have been building in your head. Hopefully, things will calm down a bit for you once this weekend is over. I went and read the post about how your job came about- amazing!

Whoa, girl...you are busy! As always, I look forward to hearing whatever you have to blog about.

And that's so true...get a bunch of bloggers together, and they'll all take their cameras out at the same time. But I've got to wonder if they'd also need whiteboards to post comments on, lol?

There is no rest for the weary :)

So glad your mom is doing well. The picture of her elbow is frightening.

Have a blessed weekend!

Enjoy your weekend. That busy thing happens to the best of us, so does that boiling up thing that makes you crazy.

Good to hear from you!

Whoa, you have had a lot going on. I completely understand that overwhelmed feeling, and I often run out of words. My brain just can't put together two sentences let alone a blog post. That's when I tend to lurk. ;-) Take the time you need. We'll be here waiting.

Oh, I would so love to sit on the beach with all my bloggy friends. But could we wear cute beachy sun dresses instead of bathing suits? I'd feel much happier about that.

Take your time. We'll be here when things slow down again, but you are certainly missed!

Thank you for loving us enough to buckle down and keep us informed! I like Alana's suggestion of sun dresses.

Have to say this: I thought the sun dresses were implied.

I never considered wearing a bathing suit in my dream even for a second.

thank you, Alana & Sing4Joy for making the dream complete.

who's bringing the brownies?

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the book recommendation. I've already ordered it. I am envious of your "busyness" and I know you'd like some to relax.

God has us doing what we're doing (or not doing)for a purpose. I look forward to hearing...the rest of your story.

Thanks much!!

Aloha, My name is Liza. I was searching for a nice blog shirt and I found your "I'm Blessed Therefore i blog" shirt and loved it! It's in my "Mother's Day wish list" for my family to buy for me on Mother's Day ;). The interesting thing is that when I followed your link to your blog, I realized we have a mutual blogging friend - MamaP :). I love your comments to her posts and realized why :). I enjoyed reading your blog and added it to my blogroll.

I like what you said here:

You can take the girl out of the blog world, you just can't take the blog out of a blogger.... I wish I had a dollar for each time I saw something, met someone, or experienced something and wished I could blog it!

Me too :)

OK, this comment is getting long. Till next time :)
