Tell Me Tuesday- Superpowers

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command:
Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14

Being a naturally self - centered person, I love the format of blogging. I can talk about whatever I want until I am done talking about it. It's fabulous for cleaning out the heart and sorting out my thoughts.

But this morning it's occurring to me- I don't know enough about you. So, today, I am to start a "Tell Me Tuesday"- a day for YOU to talk about what you want to talk about until you are done talking about it. I promise I will read every single word. Contrary to my egotistical nature, I actually LOVE knowing all about people- what makes them laugh, what makes them cry, who they were, who they are, who they hope to be, who they fear to be.

Let's start with a fun one...

Tell me this: What's your Superpower?

I'll get you started: I can google at the speed of light, whistle LOUD, and fall to sleep quickly

Now, You:

ps: I find it ironic that I did the tutorial on signatures, and now mine's not working... anyone else having issues?

I can type really fast (totally amazes my husband and I get to say muwahh haha! when he notices).

I'm also good enough at trivia that my kids thought I should be on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

I can also go to sleep extremely quickly! I love that lol.

I like to think that my Mommy powers are pretty super. I can usually tell what Anna wants before she even knows she wants it lol.

I'm really good at losing things: keys in the garbage can; phone...IN MY PURSE!...but can't find it!!! If I got a dollar for every time I called my phone to find it, I'd be rich!!!

My superpower? Being right ALL of the time. Oh wait, that isn't a superpower. That is one of those things I'm working on correcting.

I'll have to get back to you on my hidden superpower. It's just that everyone already knows about my first one.

I couldn't think of any super powers I have (obviously, quick-thinking is not on my list) so I made the mistake of asking Rod(husband) what HE thought my super power was.
He said "your Death-Glare. That's a super power for sure."
He was in the other room when he made this statement, so he is still alive. There is just a smoking, burning hole in the wall where I assumed his head was located.
Thanks so much for asking this provocative question, Amber.

I have the power to make my kids start cracking up right in the middle of a tearful explanation of what just "happened" to them. By the way, I found you through "God Nudges" (isn't our mutual friend great?- Love her)And I tried the signature thing and I love it - not having trouble with it yet - Thanks!

I have thought about what my super powers is all day. I can retain useless facts - I could join Suzanne on Millionaire. Another one I am a great at doing research and remembering the small details. But it only works with things I am interested in - assigned projects are my kryptonite. :o)

Cute button! You are getting really good at them.

Hmmm...my superpower...I can listen to a song & then sit down on the piano and figure out how to play it. Not perfectly, but the melody at least. I can tell when someone is on perfect pitch or not. And I too can go to sleep very quickly!

oooooh, ooooh, I wanna play!! :)
I can drink tea sweeter than anyone else on the planet. I can actually write my name with a sparkler fast enough that I can still see the first letter as I finish the last letter. I can smell out a goodwill from miles away. And last but not least I can take credit for looking "good for having had 5 kids" without skipping a beat even though I only "HAD" one of them. :)
So, I am a lying superhero whose weapon is a sparkler, hideout is a goodwill, and who powers up on sugar with a bit of tea added in.

Your signature looks fine to me!

Uh, I have an extremely keen sense of smell. And I can eat ice cream really fast without getting a brain freeze. I've actually never had one!

Spelling SuperCop - of course! YOU, my dear, have that one too!

I have the SuperSleeper power as well. Our motto: Sleep fast/sleep anywhere/sleep anytime! Watch...zzzzzzzzz ... zzzzzzzzz

Love, Moomis

That's a neat idea, although I have to agree with you I enjoy the blog opportunity to talk about myself without interruption. :)

I used the signature once, the next time I tried it didn't work, but I really like your "how to" series.

I have the sleep superpower-love that! and I can also take an obnoxious amount of pictures with my camera-love that, too! Lastly, I can make an entire quart of strawberries disappear in a single sitting.

I have a photographic memory. I also can be Mom to not one but TWO autistic sons.

I can hear a pin drop in the next room. I seriously have good hearing. Not to be outdone by Chickadee, I can drink tea, read and float a bowl of popcorn in the tub with me at night.

My superpower?? I know about 8 bajillion songs! It is actually shocking to people when I DON'T know a song!

I have a fantastic memory for trivial subjects.

It may take me a while to learn something, but then I can teach it as well.

In terms of an actual superpower? I can hum the tune to nearly every TV or movie show of the 70s.

I know...you and your readers are more than jealous. Remember...jealousy is a sin.

Gretchen said...

Oh, and i don't know if this is a superpower or not, but I am a drama queen, too.

I have an excellent ability to remember stuff...not necessarily useful stuff either.

I can sleep anywhere, anytime, despite the level of noise or brightness.

I can pinch a penny pretty hard too.
