WITW- Flyin' out of Boise Edition

Right now, I am sitting in the airport, thinking about this wild ride that all started last Thursday when I was getting ready to go to bed, and S4J hopped online to tell me that her brother was very, very sick, and that she was feeling an urgency to go love him in person. I can't explain why, but I knew at that moment that I was supposed to go, to hold her hand, to laugh, to let her unload. My husband agreed, and the world moved in sync over the next hour just freeing me up to be able to escape for a few days. Lisa took the kids, Jason handled the homefront, Wen gave me the green light for taking a day off of work... it was fantastic to see.

Even more fantastic was seeing Sing 4 Joy, my real-life friend and cousin-in-law do exactly what she set out to do. It was so cool watching her care for her brother and getting to see God at work. Her brother is very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain, but was overjoyed to see the burst of sunshine we all know and love.

Of course, it wasn't all hospital all the time, last night I retired to the hotel room with a nasty headache and watched Sandra Bullock movies on the TV. S4J spent the night at the hospital. In the morning, we had a delightful breakfast, and made a silly video for your giggling pleasure. Sadly, I was unable to upload it due to circumstances beyond my control both in Boise and now in Denver... so I guess I'll have to try again once I get home in Cali.

Praising God for a great adventure!
Blessings to you all!

This was so much fun to read!!! Even though you were on a serious mission. You really are a terrific example of how to have Joy in Jesus. And I'm definitely praying for Ray. (I did not get to read the blow by blow yesterday, since I was on my own mission...but I really had fun reading these and catching up with your whirlwind journey)

I enjoyed reading how the trip came to be - cool to see how God opened up your schedule and put peole in place so you could go.

Hope you are home now. Looking forward to seeing the video.

Have a great Sunday.
