Treading Water

Earlier this week, I alluded to the fact that I have some major, major life changes happening. Overall, they're all good, no.. they're GREAT changes, and even better than that, they're answered prayer.

Still, changes are changes, and one can drown in even good water if the current is strong enough and she doesn't cling tightly to her Life Preserver.

I suppose to understand fully what happened, you probably should go back and read this post. Actually, it's a series of posts (three in total) that explains the journey we've been on for about the last three years.

I'll give you a little while to catch up (or refresh your memory)- then I'll come back in a few days and fill you in on how those prayers are being answered right.this.minute.

In the mean time, I'll be here... swimming in this amazing flood of grace, adjusting to the flow and praising Jesus, learning to keep my head up... and smiling... Because, God? He's GOOD.

When you go through deep waters,I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up;the flames will not consume you.

I'm fairly new to your blog, but I always look forward to your posts. I enjoyed reading the "back story" in your older "Trust & Obey" posts just now. My husband's in the military so I'm very in touch with living in the unknown. But how great that we can look back and see the specific times God's been faithful and has given us more than we could have imagined...how can we NOT trust and obey?

I can't wait to hear your news!!

Sniffing out a job change? Whatever God has planned, you'll be just fine. i know you know this, but still wanted to encourage what you know.

I have a way with words...

I do not do well with suspense. (Now that I think about it, that ties in with trusting, doesn't it..So glad to make your point for you.)

Anyway, I'm all caught up now on the history, so you may proceed with your story.

Ahem.

Oh, I am so with you, friend. I think we are both swimming in that good water right now, and learning to cling more tightly.

I look forward to a day when the water slows down a bit and we can sit together on the shore and just rejoice in where the ride has taken us.

Just the title "Treading Water" blesses me but then, then I go read Part 3...You will never know how much this speaks to me. Never. An abundant thank you from the bottom of my surrendered heart.

I need me some Jesus water wings. I think I'll wear them to the beach and stand at the shore. All 6'1 of me, with big ole' crosses attached to my water wings. I don't care who laughs. Because I need 'em.
